Top Tips to Keeping Your Bathroom Clean and Organised

Many of us have one particular pet peeve about our bathrooms? we like to keep it as neat and clean as possible. The bathroom, after all, is one of the most-used rooms in the home, and it's easy for it to get messy and disorganised with all the water splashing about and with all the grooming that we do in it. If you're one of those who want nothing more than to keep your bathroom relatively clean, spotless, and organised, here are a few tips that could help you out.

Do away with moisture build up

When you have a shower in your bathroom and you use it regularly, there is a big chance that mildew and mould can develop over time. But you can stop this in its tracks with one'simple thing: wiping your shower doors and stalls with a sponge or squeegee right after you take a shower, whether you have a regular shower or a steam shower (steam showers, however, are better at preventing mould and moisture buildup since they are more compact and contained). This only takes a few minutes, but it does wonders for preventing the buildup of mould and mildew. Another way to prevent mould and mildew buildup is to make sure your bathroom is properly ventilated by opening a window or installing an exhaust fan. If your bathroom doesn't have a window, keep the bathroom door open a wee bit to let the steam and moisture out.

Go for liquid soap

We all place soap right beside the bathroom basin as a standard. But rather than place a bar of soap right beside your bathroom basin, it's better to opt for liquid soap instead. It's a lot less messy, you don't have to deal with a grimy and wet soap dish, and your worktop and basin will be cleaner.

Keep your worktop free from clutter

There is one brilliant way of keeping your bathroom worktop free from clutter: making use of shelves or boxes where you can place toiletries (especially small items) such as cosmetics, lotions, and creams. Rather than place your toiletries and other items helter-skelter on your worktop, make it a point to store them in shelves or special boxes or containers. This way, your countertop or worktop will be clutter-free which makes for a much more organised bathroom.

There are many other ways through which you can make your bathroom a cleaner, more spotless, and more organised environment. You can install a few bars for towels, keep cleaning wipes within reach so you can wipe off any spills as they occur, and so on. With a few simple tricks, your bathroom can look, smell, and feel as clean as you want it.
