A List of Simple but Brilliant Ideas to Keep Your Bathroom Neat and Organised
Keeping your bathroom neat and clean is something that you think may require some effort ? a great effort, in fact ? but this isn't really true. With a little bit of time and the right tools, you can keep your bathroom a spotless room in the home. Here's a list of simple but brilliant ideas to keep your bathroom neat and organised.
- Begin with a purge
The first thing you should do is purge your bathroom. This means doing away with stuff that you no longer need or can no longer use. Go through your bathroom toiletries and medicines, and see which ones are already expired or have been unused for months. When you're done purging your bathroom items, make it a point to place essential items such as hand soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes on the worktop (preferably in their own separate containers). All other items should be placed in shelves, baskets, or boxes within easy reach.
- Speaking of baskets?
If you feel that your bathroom doesn't have enough shelf space for all your things, there's one'simple solution: use wicker baskets. Simply install a few wicker baskets on your bathroom?s walls and use these as storage spaces. For instance, if you hang a wicker basket on top of your bathroom toilet, this can serve as a storage area for toilet paper or small towels. The same is true if you hang a wicker basket on top of the vanity or worktop; this can serve as storage space for small jars of cream, lotion, and the like.
- Make use of your shower?s wall
If you have a shower but it doesn't have any built-in shelving (unlike some modern, pre-fabricated shower cubicles), you can simply hang a shower organiser on the shower wall. The shower organiser will keep your shampoos, soaps, and body washes within easy reach (and not hanging precariously on the edge of a windowsill!) and this will keep them clean and free from mildew as well.
- Take advantage of ?drawer dividers?
One handy invention which you can take advnatage of is a drawer divider. This is an item (often made of wood, but sometimes made of plastic) which can be placed inside your bathroom?s drawers, so your smaller drawer items can be more organised. If you have a lot of makeup or cosmetics, for example, a drawer divider is your best friend.
- Metal canisters do the trick
There are many items which you can place in metal canisters (which aren't just handy, but also stylish), such as cotton swabs and balls, hair clips and pins, and so on. This can help you avoid clutter in your bathroom, and will help lend a chic and elegant air to the bathroom as well.
